Geothermal Solutions

Geothermal heating and cooling systems use electrically powered water-source heat pumps that utilize the earth’s high thermal capacity and constant 50-55 degree temperature as a sustainable energy resource. Water is circulated through a series of pipes buried beneath the earth’s surface known as the heat exchanger.  The heat exchanger then moves heat from the earth to your space in winter and from your space to the earth in summer.   This heating or cooling is circulated through the space  by the water-source heat pump installed in your building.  This system is similar to conventional forced-air systems, which use lower capacity outside air (sometimes subject to extreme temperatures) as a resource for cooling and heating. However, because they rely on the stable earth temperature, the process is 40-70% more energy efficient than conventional.
